Coaching Career

• Since graduating from West Virginia Stoia has been an assistant
coach at Jacksonville University and at her alma mater.

2008
• As an assistant coach at West Virginia Stoia helped guide the
Mountaineers to the Big East regular season title.
• Mentored West Virginia midfielder Carolyn Black to the Big East
Midfielder of the Year Award.

2007
• Helped guide West Virginia to the NCAA Elite 8 and Big East
Conference championship, both firsts in school history.
• Mentored midfielder Amanda Cicchini to an NSCAA Second Team All-
American Award.
• Stoia’s recruiting class for previous school Jacksonville named as best
recruiting class in the Atlantic Sun Conference.

2006
• Helped lead Jacksonville to a conference championship and an NCAA
Tournament appearance.

2005
• Took her first coaching job when she was named assistant coach for
Jacksonville Univeristy’s Women’s Soccer team.

Collegiate Career

2003
• Voted as Mountaineer team co-captain.
• Finished her West Virginia career as the school’s all time games
played leader with 87 and all time assists leader with 32.
• Honored as an NSCAA First Team All-American.
• Notched seven goals and 12 assists in her senior season.
• Named Big East Midfielder of the Year for the second straight season.
• Member of the U.S. U-21 National Team pool.
• Trained with two WUSA clubs in her senior year.

2002
• Tied the Mountaineer single season assist record with 10.
• Netted eight goals and a total of 26 points.
• Earned second team NSCAA All-American honors.
• Was named First Team All-Big East.

2001
• Made the ALL-Big East First Team as a sophomore.
• Netted four goals and four assists while starting in all 21 games.

2000
• Big East Co-Rookie of the Year and named to the conference All-
Rookie Team
• Started in all 21 games as a freshman and tallied six assists.
• Earned freshman ALL-American honors.

1. What are the three things you can never be without while traveling?
A: BlackBerry, iPod, Hair Straightener (Do twizzlers count haha)

2. If you didn’t play professional soccer, what other profession would you want to try – and why?
A: I enjoy coaching at my alma-mater West Virginia in the off-season and giving back to the game…And some day would love to own my own gym business....have always been into fitness, working out…staying healthy and in shape!!

3. What’s your perfect day off?
A: Morning cup of coffee, Reading and catching up with some TV, Shopping, beach, being with family and friends

4. What famous person most inspires you and why?
A: Although they may not be famous to the world I would have to say my family and college coach Nikki Izzo-Brown are the most influential people that have touched my life…My family reflects who I am and they have been the support that keeps me strong and disciplined throughout my life. Nikki Izzo-Brown is a true mentor and role model whom inspires me and has helped to turn some of my dreams and opportunities into reality. These are the people who have personally reflected and touched my life and who continue to inspire me everyday!!!!

5. If you had a dinner party, who are the four people you would invite (can be living or dead)?
A: Oprah, Tom Brady, Julia Roberts, Vince Lombardi

6. If there were one adjective to describe you, what would it be?
A: Disciplined

7. What’s on your workout / pre-game iPod playlist?
A: To be honest… a little bit of everything…my iPod definitely has a mix and a variety of music…Depends on that particular day what I choose…
