International:
Became the second oldest player to earn her first cap for the U.S. Women’s National Team on June 26, 2005, against Canada, at 29 years, 6 months, 22 days. First trained with the National Team back in 1997. 2007: Retired from the National Team following the World Cup to become the head coach at Baylor University. Named to the 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup team, but did not see any action. Participated in the 2007 residency program. 2006: Played in 11 games, starting three. Made the for the Four Nations Tournament, but did not play. Played in two matches at the Algarve Cup in Portugal. 2005: Played in two games, starting one, that against Australia, to earn her first two caps.
Coaching:
Begins her first season as the head coach at Baylor in 2008.
Professional / Club:
Played three seasons with the Atlanta Beat in the WUSA, where she suffered several serious injuries. She began the first WUSA season on the sideline after suffering a compound fracture of her jaw in the preseason tournament. After a four-week recovery, she started in the Beat’s first victory and got her initial pro goal in her third match, but that season ended with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in her left knee. After the WUSA ceased operations, she returned to the W-League in 2004 where she played with the Charlotte Eagles and the Atlanta Silverbacks. Spent one year playing for Turbine Potsdam in the German Women’s Bundesliga in 1999. A member of the gold-medal winning North Squad in the 1995 U.S. Olympic Festival, Miller earned U.S. Olympic Festival All-Tournament acclaim prior to beginning an impressive four-year run as captain of the Chicago Cobras, a the W-League. She led that league in scoring in one season and helped the Cobras claim the 2000 W-League title.
College:
Played her first two college seasons at the University of Wisconsin where she was a First-Team All-Central Region in 1995 after having been Second-Team All-Central Region as a freshman. She was UW’s second-leading scorer both seasons with five goals and six assists as a freshman and five goals and team-best 10 assists as a sophomore. Transferred to Southern Methodist, where she finished her college career and was a First-Team All-Central Region selection. In both seasons with the Mustangs, she earned First-Team All-WAC honors was also named the Mountain Division’s Player of the Year. She started in the midfield in all 44 career games at SMU, compiling 51 points off 21 goals and nine assists. Her college totals were 87 points from 31 goals and 25 assists.
High School / Youth Club:
Attended St. Charles High School where she won two state championships.
Personal:
Full name is Marci Seton Jobson. Married Paul Jobson in August of 2004. Paul is the associate head coach at Baylor University. Served as a staff coach for the Atlanta United Soccer Association, coaching U-16, U-15 and U-12 girls. The youngest of eight children, all of whom have names that start with the letter “M” - (in age order) Marci, Maggie, Marty, Mindy, Mary, Mike, Monica and Mark. Has white Labrador named Toby and a golden retriever named Shamus. Enjoys sitting in coffee shops, drinking coffee, reading books and people watching.
