Experience

Stephanie Cox has represented the United States in international play 49 times and became an Olympic gold medalist in 2008 in Beijing. Stephanie won a bronze medal at the 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup in China. She made her first international start in 2006 at the Algarve Cup. In the same year, Stephanie was the captain of the U.S. squad at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Championship in Russia.

College:
Stephanie is a 2007 graduate of the University of Portland where she earned a B.A. in Psychology. While at the University of Portland, Stephanie won a NCAA title in 2005 and was named to the NCAA All-Tournament Team during the same year. She was also named an NSCAA First Team All-American as well as First-Team All-WCC and WCC Defender of the Year.

High School / Youth Club:
Stephanie grew up in Northern California and attended Elk Grove High School where she was named Parade and McDonald's All-American her senior year. She won league championships in 2001 and 2002 and graduated with a 4.17 GPA. She played club for Elk Grove United and Elk Grove Thunder. In 2003, she helped her team win the U-19 State and Regional championships.
