1. What are the three things you can never be without while traveling?

Hobbes - my Dell Latitude laptop that lights up when I type, Pebbles - My Blackberry cell phone that keeps me in the social loop, Big Ten Life Bag - The bag that goes with me everywhere and contains all the essential elements that I require in my daily life. It is always packed and ready to accomodate my nomadic existence.

2. If you didn’t play professional soccer, what other profession would you want to try – and why?

I would like to be the General Manager of the Washington Redskins or any NFL franchise. I am obsessed with all that is football from the tailgates to the draft. This occupation would incorporate both my passions - sport and business.

I would also love to be a professional house DJ. I would want to travel the world moving audiences with the incredible house beats that I mix. I would liken myself to world renown DJ’s such as Tiesto, David Morales, Bob Sinclar, etc. I would play 5 hour sets that make the heart pump and the body move.

3. What’s your perfect day off?

Relaxing from dancing until the wee hours of the morning the night before. This would include reading the entire Washington Post newspaper and doing a crossword puzzle. It would also include lounging with my friends and eating free samples from Whole Foods.

4. What famous person most inspires you and why?

Katharine Weymouth – Publisher and CEO of the Washington Post. I had the opportunity to meet with her and was inspired by her composure, knack for making others feel comfortable, intelligence, and down to earth personality.

She comes from an incredibly accomplished family and has the very tough task of reinventing the newspaper industry in a climate that steers more and more toward the digital age.

She also gets to rub shoulders with the most successful, controversial, and newsworthy individuals not only in DC but around the world.

5. If you had a dinner party, who are the four people you would invite (can be living or dead)?

Recent Top Chef contender Carla from Washington D.C. (she could teach me to cook …and cook the dinner), The Biggest Loser trainer Jillian Michaels (she could educate me on nutrition and good training methods), Warren Buffet (we could talk stock investments and economic essentials), Kelly Clarkson (we could sing together).

6. If there were one adjective to describe you, what would it be?

Dynamic.
