2008 U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year. Scored a goal in extra time against Brazil to win the 2008 Olympic gold medal match for the U.S. Made 35 starts for the national team in ‘08, tied for the team lead. Scored 27 points on nine goals and nine assists. Scored on a dramatic overtime free-kick to beat Canada in the championship game of Olympic qualifying. Scored four goals, one in each game, at the 2007 Algarve Cup, earning tournament top scorer and MVP honors. Started all three group play matches at the 2007 FIFA Women’s World Cup in China and came off the bench in the quarterfinals and semifinals. Made her senior national team debut in 2005 against Ukraine. Member of four U-21 Nordic Cup championship teams from 2002-05. Scored three times in the 2005 Nordic Cup.
Spent 2004 with the New Jersey Wildcats of the W-League. Previously played for W-League clubs South Jersey Banshees (2001), New Brunswick Power (2000) and Central Jersey Splash (1999).
As a senior, started 18 games and was named the 2004 Big East Midfielder of the Year. Became the first Scarlet Knight to earn All-Big East first team honors four times during her career (2001-04). Finished career as Rutgers' all-time leader in points (117) and goals (50). A three-time NSCAA All-American and a finalist for the Hermann Trophy. Was named a Big East Academic All-Star. Started every match as a freshman in 2001. Named the Big East Rookie of the Year, after leading Rutgers with 15 goals and 37 points.
