They say everything is bigger in Texas!  Well, in the case of our latest WPS Camps partner, this is very much the reality.

One of the largest clubs in the nation with over 13,000 players in 11 divisions in 7 cities, the Dallas Texans Soccer Club has become our WPS Camps partner club in Dallas, TX.

Founded in 1993 by current Director Of Coaching Hassan Nazari, the Texans have 700 girls ages 10-18 and 250 affiliated academy girls players ages 7-9 in the Dallas area.

The Dallas Texans play in the Lake Highlands Girls Classic League and Plano Premier League and their academy players play in the Super Development League.

The WPS Camp will be open to all girls from every club or soccer associations and will be held at the Texans’ Ross Stewart Soccer Complex July 13-17.

Why did the Texans decide to host a WPS Camp? “As the current #1 girls’ club in the country, we want to support the WPS. And we always seek to provide as many development opportunities as possible for our players.” stated Paul Stewart, Texans’ Club President.

The Dallas Texans has had more national champions than any other club in history, with 10 in just the last 4 years. At the same time, the club seeks to provide a positive experience and help competitive players at all skill levels reach their development goals. The club has an exclusive affiliation with Manchester United of England. It also is a partner of the Positive Coaching Alliance www.positivecoach.org.
