LOS ANGELES SOL VS. WASHINGTON FREEDOM
Today's game marks the second meeting between the Los Angeles Sol and Washington Freedom this season. The Sol defeated the Freedom 2-0 in WPS' Inaugural Match Sunday, March 29. Although they are 8 points ahead of the Freedom, there is no time to sit back and relax as Sol look to continue their winning streak at home today.

LAST GAME RECAP
The Los Angeles Sol played to a 1-1 tie against Chicago Red Stars this past Wednesday at the Home Depot Center, with goals from Los Angeles Sol's Camille Abily and Chicago Red Star's Cristiane. Everyone expected a 0-0 tie out of Wednesday's match, but fans were surprised in the 88th minute when Ella Masar chipped a ball to the feet of Cristiane who put the Red Stars ahead. The Sol quickly followed with a shot from Marta which bounced off the left post, placing the ball at Abily's feet and she tied the game up right at the whistle.

Last Wednesday against the Chicago Red Stars, Los Angeles midfielder Camille Abily’s dramatic goal, in the 90th minute, tied the match 1-1. Abily’s goal against Chicago marked her 3rd consecutive game with a goal. The Sol has gone 2-0-1 in those games.

More Help For Bustamante Clan
The Cypress Police Officers Association (CPOA) and the Police Management Association (PMA) joined together to donate $1,000 to the family of Hugo Bustamante, an innocent victim in a recent shooting at Long Beach Memorial Hospital. Previously, the Los Angeles Sol had also done some fundraising for the family, including hosting a silent auction in Hugo's honor at their May 15 home game as well as donating $15 from every $20 ticket purchased in a special section of the stadium that night. Bustamante, a youth soccer coach prior to his death, had attended the Sol's Inaugural Match on March 29 at The Home Depot Center, along with his team, the Under-10 Cypress Cyclones.
