1. What are the three things you can never be without while traveling?
A great book, chap stick, a hooded sweatshirt.
2. If you didn’t play professional soccer, what other profession would you want to try – and why?
A screen writer because I love writing and I love movies or a ballet dancer because it looks amazingly difficult.
3. What’s your perfect day off?
A big breakfast (biscuits and gravy a must), a double feature at the movie theater, dinner at a Mexican restaurant, and an hour-long foot massage.
4. What famous person most inspires you and why?
Randy Pausch. I was fortunate enough to see him lecture at UVA in 2007. His powerful insights and positive outlook on life, despite being diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer, continue to inspire me as well as millions of people to achieve their childhood dreams.
5. If you had a dinner party, who are the four people you would invite (can be living or dead)?
Conan O'Brien, Abraham Lincoln, Jane Austen, Eugene O'Neill.
6. If there were one adjective to describe you, what would it be?
Dilligent.
