Kate Westfall joins the Chicago Red Stars as the Director of Finance and Camps.
Kate entered the world of finance after serving as the assistant women’s soccer coach at Mercer University from 2005-2007, a Division I school in middle Georgia. During Westfall’s tenure with the Bears, the team saw great improvement and reached the conference tournament for the first time in nearly ten years.
While working as the assistant coach, Kate also earned her MBA in the evening, finishing at the top of her class. She then joined a financial planning and wealth management firm in Atlanta, GA where she provided assistance to high net worth individuals and families.
As a player, Kate had a successful career at Harvard University from 2000-2004. She was named Ivy League Rookie of the Year and First Team All-Ivy in each of her four years. She was only the fourteenth player in Ivy League history to do so. She was also a First-Team All Northeast and NSCAA All-American selection during her career.
