Elly Deutch is the Marketing and New Media Manager of the Chicago Red Stars, a founding franchise of the newly launched Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS). Since August of 2008 Elly has been charged with developing the Online Marketing and Social Media strategy for the Red Stars. These strategies combined with her special interest and skills in video production and graphic design have changed the way the Red Stars engage and grow their fan base and catapulted the Red Stars to the forefront of New Media in WPS.
Originally from Evanston, IL Elly graduated from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio in 2008 and was a four year member of the women’s soccer team. She was named to the Ohio Collegiate Senior All-Star Team in 2008. Elly received the Anderson Cup Award (given to the senior who contributes the most to Kenyon College) her senior year. She was also an Admissions Interviewer for the college and Chairperson of Social Board which is responsible for planning and implementing social activities for the campus.
