There is no Chicago soccer news today. But the next nine days will produce plenty of talking points for fans of Chicago men's and women's pro soccer:

* The Best Buy Fire battles former Eastern Conference power VW United tonight
* The Fire hosts former Western Conference power Houston Amigo Energy May 17th
* Next week two key department head hirings will be announced by Chicago WPS
* Next week Chicago WPS will hold an Advisory Board Meeting and a Managers Meeting
* Next Friday is the entry deadline for the Chicago WPS Name the Team Sweepstakes

Additionally:

* On Sunday, we'll find out if FulhAmerica stays up in the Barclay's Premier League.
* The W-League season kicks off May 10th and FC Indiana's season opener is at Kalamazoo on May 16th. (The Chicago Gaels first game is Sunday, June 1st hosting FCI at 4 pm)
* The USWNT vs. Canada at RFK this Saturday
