Signed to the developmental roster on 06/11/2009.

International:
  • Sissi has participated in all three Women’s World Cups (China 1991, Sweden 1995, USA 1999) and was a member of Brazil’s 1999 and 2000 Olympic teams. As a dominant player for Brazil’s 1999 World Cup team she was the co-lead goal scorer of the tournament along with China’s Sun Wen with seven goals. Sissi recorded a hatrick in Brazil’s first competition against Mexico and scored in the 104th minute against Nigeria in the quarterfinals advancing her team to the semifinals. Sissi was awarded both the Golden Boot and Silver Ball to complete her impressive World Cup performance. Also in 1999 FIFA voted Sissi the second best player in the world, while in the same year she was also named the best player in South America.

Club:
  • Sissi participated in the Women’s United Soccer Association and played for the San Jose CyberRays. In 2001, 2002, and 2003 she was named to the All WUSA First Team and was also recognized as the WUSA Humanitarian of the year in 2002. She was also MVP for the WPSL in 2004 and 2008 while playing for the California Storm.

  • Full name is Sisleide Lima Do Amor. Sissi is a FIFA Ambassador and coaches locally at Las Positas College and with the Diablo Futbol Club.

1. What are the three things you can never be without while traveling? 
Cell  phone, computer to connect with my kids, my perfume.

2. If you didn't play professional soccer, what other profession would you want to try – and why?
A Nurse. Gross things don't freak me out I actually find it fascinating!

3. What's your perfect day off?
Sleeping in late (which is impossible with a 22 month old baby) , hanging out at home and playing soccer with the kids.

4. What famous person most inspires you and why?
Angelina Jolie. She is such a strong, compassionate woman who is trying to make a difference in this world!

5. If you had a dinner party, who are the four people you would invite (can be living or dead)?
My Mom, Madonna, Angelina Jolie, Michael Jordan

7 for fun, 14 professionally

I love doing what comes naturally to me and a game I love! I also really enjoy meeting new people.
