  • She participated with the U-21 National team and was previously part of the U-14/U-16 National Player Pool.

College:
  • Graczyk played forward for the University of Connecticut from 2001-04 where she was an offensive machine for the Huskies as she led the team in goals and scoring all four seasons. As a junior, she became only the ninth player in UConn’s 25-year history to tally 100 career points. Graczyk started 91 matches out of 99 that she played in and never missed one contest during her four years with the program. She was an All-American in 2003 and 2004. Graczyk was also a four-time all-Big East Conference honoree, Big East Offensive Player of the Year in 2003, Northeast Regional Player of the Year as a junior and senior, Soccer America MVP in 2003, a 2004 M.A.C. Hermann Trophy semifinalist. She also was successful off the field, receiving Big East Conference Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2004 and the New England Scholar Award for having a GPA higher than 3.5 for two consecutive semesters that same year. She was also a Big East Academic All-Star and was on the Director of Athletics Honor Roll from 2002-05. For her senior year, Graczyk was recognized as a UConn Remarkable Individual in leadership, academics and athletics.

  • An Albuquerque native, Graczyk graduated from La Cueva High School in 2001. She played for the State and Regional Teams from U-14 to U-18. She also played club soccer for Rio Vista Soccer Club.

  • Full name is Kristen Marie Graczyk. Graczyk received her B.A. in Sports Marketing from UConn in May of 2005.

1) What are the three things you can never be without while traveling?
My cell phone, my sweats and face wash.

2) If you didn't play professional soccer, what other profession would you want to try?
I would want to work in marketing or event planning for a pro sports team. I have wanted to work in sports since I was young and both of my degrees are in Sports Marketing.

3) What's your perfect day off?
Spending time with family, friends and my boyfriend.

4) What famous person most inspires you?
God

5) If you had a dinner party, who are the four people you would invite (can be living or dead)?
I would invite my mom and dad, my boyfriend Andy and my best friend Bryan. It would be awkward to invite people I don't know to a dinner party, regardless of how famous they are.

6) What's on your workout/pre-game iPod playlist?
It's a mix between the likes of 50 Cent, Lady Gaga, Nelly and Girl Talk.

7) What was your first job?
Assistant Soccer Coach for the University of New Mexico Women's Soccer Team.
 
8) Do you have any pets?
No.

9) When did you start playing soccer?
I started playing when I was in the 4th grade.

10) What is your favorite thing about playing soccer?
Being part of a team.

11) Who is your favorite Soccer Player?
Tiffany Weimer.

Barcelona (I think I will get cut if I Don't put that).

13) If you had to sell all of your possessions, what is the one thing you couldn't part with?
Pictures.

14) What is something you always have in your soccer bag?
Besides my cleats, I always have a headband.

15) If you were stranded on a deserted island with one of your current FC Gold Pride teammates, who would it be and why?
Brandi Chastain, as she's the only mom on the team so I think she would be able to take care of me.
