Leandra Price, MS, ATC - Athletic Trainer
Leandra Price, MS, ATC joined Somerset Medical Center in March 2010. This is her first year working as the Head Athletic Trainer for Sky Blue FC. Additionally, Price is in her third year working at Hillsborough High School. Before moving back to New Jersey, she worked at The Andrew's Institute in Gulf Breeze, Fl, where she worked in a clinic and covered sports at Jay High School. Price graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2006 with a BS in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine. Price earned her MA in Sports and Fitness Management at Troy University in 2008. While at Troy University, she worked as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Track & Field and Football teams.
Jack Kripsak, DO - Team Physician
This is Dr. Kripsak's second year as Sky Blue FC's team physician. Dr. Kripsak is a partner at Bridgewater Medical Group, and has been Medical Director for Somerset Medical Center’s Sports Performance & Rehabilitation Center since 2004. Additionally, he has been the team physician for the Bridgewater-Raritan School District since 1992. He continues to play a key role in numerous New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association subcommittees, and is a member of the NJSIAA advisory board. He also serves as a clinical faculty member for Somerset Medical Center and Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Dr. Kripsak is a graduate of St. Joseph's University in PA and Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, and is board certified as family physician and sports medicine physician.
David Abrutyn, MD - Team Orthopeist
This is Dr Abrutyn's second year as Sky Blue FC's team orthopedist. He is a partner at The Center for Orthopedic Care in Bridgewater, and has been instrumental in spearheading Somerset Medical Center's Joint Surgery Institute, where he now serves as medical director. In addition to Sky Blue, he is the team physician for Immaculata High School. He is a graduate of Northwestern University and Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and is board certified in orthopedic surgery.
Patra Acquaviva MS, CSCS, USAW - Strength & Conditioning Coach
Patra has been training athletes of all levels since December of 2006. She is a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, NASM Performance Enhancement Specialist, and USAW Performance Coach Certified. She is an accomplished high school soccer and lacrosse player, and while at Rutgers University played for the Scarlet Knights Women’s Lacrosse Team. She also completed her Master of Exercise Science with a focus in Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention with The California University of Pennsylvania. Patra is currently a strength and conditioning coach at The Sports Performance and Rehabilitation Center in Bridgewater, the official strength and conditioning and rehabilitation provider for Sky Blue FC and the Somerset Patriots.
