The Boston Breakers have clinched the first WPS playoff home game in club history. By virtue of the Breakers' 2nd place finish in the WPS regular season, the club will host the WPS Super Semifinal on Thursday, September 23rd.  The Breakers will play the winner of the WPS 1st Round playoff match between the Washington Freedom and the Philadelphia Independence, which will be played this Sunday, September 19th in West Chester, PA. 

The winner of the Super Semifinal will advance to the WPS Championship Game presented by Citi to face FC Gold Pride, who have received a bye to the final after finishing atop the WPS regular season standings.  The WPS Championship Game presented by Citi will be played at Pioneer Stadium in Hayward, CA on Sunday, September 26th and broadcast nationally on Fox Soccer Channel.

The Super Semifinal will be played at the brand new Soldiers Field Soccer Stadium at Harvard University, located in the Harvard Stadium complex.  Breakers Super Semifinal playoff tickets are now on sale by calling the Breakers office at 781-251-2100.

The playoff match will mark the Breakers first home game in a soccer specific stadium with no football or lacrosse markings. Capacity at Soldiers Field Soccer Stadium is quite limited – only 3,000 tickets are available for this match. Tickets are on-sale now and selling rapidly.

Soldiers Field Soccer Stadium has 1,000 bleacher seats and 2,000 standing room tickets, which will allow access to the grass berms and paved viewing pavilions that surround the field on three sides. There are also 100 Pitch Side seats, which are seated at field level.

Boston Breakers Members (season ticket holders) will have the first opportunity to purchase the 1,000 available bleacher seats. All other fans may reserve standing room only tickets and ask to be placed on the bleacher waiting list. At the close of the Member window, at 5PM on Wednesday, September 15th, any remaining bleacher seats will be alloted to fans on the bleacher waiting list, starting with the earliest date & time of order until those seats are sold out.

Given that the Breakers average attendance of 4,500 is 50% larger than the total capacity of Soldiers Field Soccer Stadium, we do anticipate selling out this playoff match. We strongly advise fans to make their ticket reservations in advance, as fans who wait until game day to purchase at the Box Office will run the risk of being turned away. Please note that all tickets are non-refundable.
