Westwood, Mass. (July 1, 2010) – The Boston Breakers today announced a new sponsorship agreement with Foxwoods Resort Casino, North America’s largest resort casino. As a Presenting Sponsor, Foxwoods will receive prominent logo placement on the Breakers home and road jerseys.
“This is a milestone for the Breakers and for all of women’s professional soccer. We are excited to be partnering with premier resorts,” said Andy Crossley, General Manager for the Boston Breakers. “Foxwoods is an incredible brand, one that we hope to grow even bigger through exposure to our diverse fan base.”
The sponsorship will help Foxwoods enhance its presence in the Greater Boston area and beyond with brand integration across all the Breakers promotional and marketing platforms. Foxwoods will be granted permanent signage at Harvard Stadium during Breakers home games and its logo will appear on the media backdrop at Breakers events. Foxwoods will also have a strong presence on the Boston Breakers website. All Foxwoods employees will be offered ticket discounts for all Boston Breakers home games.
“Foxwoods is thrilled to partner with New England's premier women's professional soccer team," said Robert Victoria, Chief Marketing Officer for Mashantucket Pequot Gaming Enterprises. "The Breakers have a passionate and loyal fan base and a team of world-class players, including Connecticut's own Kristine Lilly. This agreement provides us with a great way extend our brand in the New England marketplace in a compelling way and we're looking forward to working together with the team on a number of innovative community initiatives and events."
The deal was brokered by Aaron Sells, Managing Partner for Altus Marketing & Management. “Foxwoods and the Boston Breakers are both committed to offering quality entertainment here in New England so this alliance made perfect sense,” said Sells. “This partnership will allow both brands to grow their businesses in exciting new ways.”
The Boston Breakers will debut the jerseys on Sunday, July 4th during their game against the Philadelphia Independence in West Chester, Pennsylvania.
