Natalie Akula, Player Services Coordinator

Natalie joined the Breakers as the Player Services Coordinator in January 2009. This was her return to the reborn Breakers, after having worked with the original Breakers in 2003 as an athletic training intern. 

Natalie has recently come back from California, where she earned an MBA in Sports Management from San Diego State University.  She is also a 2006 graduate of Northeastern University’s Bouvé College of Health Sciences, where she received a B.S in Athletic Training.  She is a Certified Athletic Trainer. 

She has many years of involvement in soccer and other sports, as a player, coach, athletic trainer, and health care provider.  Before going to California, Natalie was an orthopedic technician and athletic trainer at Newton Wellesley Hospital, where she worked with the sports medicine and orthopedic practices. She was also the acting head Athletic Trainer at Newton South High School. During her Northeastern years, she had clinical placements and internships at UC Riverside, Harvard, Northeastern, Curry College and Surgi-Care.    

Natalie grew up in Cambridge, Mass., and resides in Somerville.
